Here's the latest in my drawings for The Sketchbook Project. We've had an early visitation from Spring. Not in the picture: a white-haired Jesusguru sauntering with chrysanthemum-festooned brolly past the Metro station in a pure white cotton robe that turned out to be thin enough for the sun to shine through the back, revealing his undershirt but no underpants, just his sweet, knobbly and rather perfect but ancient bottom. Maybe I'll draw him on the next page.
Kathleen; You bring back memories of spring in Montreal. Al and I met there. We were teaching in NDG. He in Grade five, me in grade two. He would send me love notes via Giuseppe, one of his students. Montreal in spring would be like Paris in springtime...
